History
Although we were formed in 2004, it began in 2000.
It all started at Expanets, which from 2000 to late 2003 was one the largest VARs in the country representing Avaya, NEC Corp. and Cisco Systems. In addition to those offerings, Expanets became an Authorized Solution Provider for the nation’s leading telecommunication providers like AT&T, Verizon and Qwest and in 2000 formed the Carrier Services Group to attack this new initiative. Jason Sharek and Kelly Ratcliff, current TeleProviders CEO and COO, were a part of a small leadership team that formed and ran this group for almost 4 years.
Today, 95% of TeleProviders current team was initially part of Expanets’ original Carrier Services Group.
It went so well that in 2003, Avaya acquired Expanets, dismantled the Cisco and NEC divisions, but continued with the Carrier Services Group renamed Avaya’s Carrier Services Solutions Group or CSSG.
Three months later, Jason Sharek, current TeleProviders’ CEO, decided it was time to move on to form his own company. Jason incorporated TeleProviders Inc. in January of 2004.
In the summer of 2006, Avaya sold the CSSG to TeleProviders, effectively putting the original Expanets Carrier Services Team back together.
Today, TeleProviders Inc. is one of the largest Solution Providers in the Country — with a nationwide footprint. We have worked with virtually every application from every Carrier, and we have a unique insight into the telecommunications industry. The team has been together now for almost 10 years perfecting the model we still operate under today. All totaled, we have hundreds of years of collective experience.

In 1998…

In 2000…
Expanets becomes a Solution Provider for ATT, Verizon, Qwest and many other Carriers and forms the Carrier Services Group as an addition service to their customers. This is when the TeleProviders model was born and today, 95% of the TeleProviders team was apart of that original Expanets Carrier Services Group.
In 2003…
Avaya acquires Expanets and continues on with the Carrier Services Group, renamed The Avaya Carrier Services Solution Group (CSSG).
In 2004…
Jason Sharek, who helped create Expanets Carrier program, leaves Avaya to form TeleProviders.
In 2006…
Avaya sells CSSG to TeleProviders, reuniting many team members that go back to 2000.
In 2009…
TeleProviders Inc. is recognized by Inc. Magazine, which ranks TeleProviders 21 in the fastest growing telecommunications companies. Jason Sharek is still active as CEO and President.
In 2010…
TeleProviders was once again recognized by Inc Magazine as one of the nation?s fastest growing private companies. Mobility Division and Client Development Group added to support growth.
